主讲人简介:
杨先一教授1987年毕业于北京大学技术物理系,1990年获中国科学院生物物理硕士学位;1996年12月获美国休斯敦大学电气工程第二个硕士学位;1999年6月获加拿大阿尔伯塔大学电气与计算机工程博士学位。现任加拿大圭尔夫大学教授、高级机器人与智能系统实验室主任。杨教授的研究兴趣包括智机器人学、人工智能、感知与监控,控制系统、仿生学等及其在工农业、交通、食品、医学等中应用。杨教授成功地提出了一个“受生物启发的神经网络系统”,该系统可用于各种机器人系统的实时环境感知、路径规划、目标跟踪与智能控制,并发表了一系列的研究论文;因此,他被认为是“将受生物启发的方法用于机器人学与控制系统”的先驱者之一。他发表了近450篇学术论文,其中期刊论文250多篇。他现任国际机器人与自动化期刊的主编。
讲座摘要:
Research on biologically inspired artificial intelligence has made significant progress in both understanding the biological systems and developing bionic engineering applications to sensing, information processing, and control for various systems. In this talk, I will start with a very brief introduction to some biologically inspired intelligent systems approaches, such as neurodynamics models and gated-dipole sensor-motor models. Then, several applications of intelligent systems to biological systems and bio-inspired systems will be briefly presented. After that, I will focus on our current research on bio-inspired intelligent systems with applications to various robotic systems and other engineering systems, such as real-time motion planning, tracking and control of autonomous mobile robots; intelligent tomato-harvesting robotic systems; intelligent robotic e-nose systems; and intelligent cooperation and coordination of multi-robot systems.
